THE PROCESS
HOW DAVID COATS YOUR CAR
Wash
Wheels, tires, and fender liners deep cleaned, then a foam bath and a 2-bucket hand wash.
Decontaminate
An iron remover pulls out embedded metal particles, and a clay bar removes what's left. The paint should feel smooth as glass.
Polish
The paint is machine polished to bring back gloss and clear up light swirls.
Prep
On Premium, Elite, and Final Detail packages, the paint is wiped with an alcohol solvent so the coating bonds to bare clear coat.
Coat
The coating goes on one panel at a time, then gets leveled by hand. It covers paint, headlights, and taillights, and on the higher packages also the wheel faces and glass.
